Now that we’ve sprung into spring, the end of the semester is only a few weeks away! To those of you graduating in May, stay focused! You’re almost there.


Looking to get back into shape after a lazy winter? Check out our 24-hour fitness center, the beach volleyball court, the basketball court, or the tennis court. You can also take advantage of our walking trails, which wrap around the property for a nice scenic view of the lake. Feeling pasty after months of cold and humid weather? Come by the pool to get a nice tan in the sun!

Maintenance Tip


Keep an eye out for notices of maintenance and/or vendors entering your unit. Note that all animals should be kept in an area of your unit where they will not get out or in a kennel. This is for the safety of your pet and our staff. Thank you.

  • Renew today to insure your spot for next year! Ask our staff about renewal and new lease specials.
  • Pet owners:
    • All pets must be on a leash when out and about.
    • No pets are allowed at the pool.
    • Please pick up after your pooch! We have pet stations with doggie bags scattered throughout the property for you. Please utilize this.



Community Events 


Spring Clothes Drive — All Month — Not enough room in your closet? Do you need to do a little spring cleaning? Please consider donating clothes you don’t wear anymore to a homeless shelter in the Baton Rouge community. A collection box will be in the clubhouse all month long. Remember, one person’s trash is another person’s treasure.


National PB&J Day — April 2 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. — Help us celebrate National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day by stopping by the clubhouse for your own PB&J sandwich!


Egg Decorating Contest — April 4 — Try your chance to win in a friendly competition by decorating an egg! We will include shaving cream, food coloring, and various other craft items to decorate the eggs. Once your egg is complete, post a picture and tag us on Instagram (@lodgesat77) and/or Facebook (@thelodgesat777). Whomever has the most likes on their egg will win a basket of goodies!


Egg Hunt — April 5 from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. — We welcome you to participate in our property-wide egg hunt. Search all day long and bring in as many eggs as you can find to the clubhouse before 5 p.m. Various prizes will be available. Good luck, and happy hunting!


Egg Toss Competition — April 6 from 3–3:30 p.m. — Teams of two will compete to win a prize at our Egg Toss Competition on the basketball court. Teams will toss an egg back and forth, taking one large step back after each toss. The last team holding an unbroken egg wins! The winning team will receive two Chocolate Godiva Bunnies!


Free Fish Friday — April 7 @ noon — We’ll have FREE fried shrimp with mashed potatoes as a side while supplies last. Sponsored by Sammy’s Grill.


National Pet Day — April 11 — We’re recognizing our furry and fluffy residents! Come pick up a bag of dog or cat treats for your fur babies at the front desk during business hours.

Professional Headshots — April 17 from 6–8 p.m. — Boost up your professional portfolio with a professional headshot! We’ll have a photographer on property offering professional headshots.


Fitness Wednesday — April 19 from 6:30–7:30 p.m. — Join fitness instructors Dana Guillory and Molly Lingo from Define Fit in the yoga room for a fitness class. Please bring your own mat and towel. Bottled water will be provided. *This event occurs the third Wednesday of each month.*


Sundae Social — April 21 from 1–3 p.m. — Take a refreshing and tasty break by creating your own ice cream sundae down at the cabana.


Earth Day — April 22 from noon–3 p.m. — To celebrate Earth Day, plant a seed in a mini-pot that you can decorate! All supplies and specific instructions for ensuring the germination of the flower will be provided. As a treat, dirt cups will also be provided.


Karaoke Pool Night — April 23 from 7–9 p.m. — Come by the pool for karaoke night! We’ll have the words displayed on the large screen in the cabana for you to sing along to. Even if you’re not a singer, stop by for the entertainment and FOOD! Mellow Mushroom pizza and soft drinks/water will be provided.


Fitness & Wellness Event — April 24 — Jonathan LeBlanc and team will come out to give a special presentation about fitness and wellness. They will also be giving body composition measurements. Smoothie King will cater the event with free smoothies for residents.


Happy Birthday Bash — April 28 from 4–6 p.m. — The Cupcake Allie cupcake truck will provide cupcakes to celebrate all our residents’ birthdays this month. *Must have an April birthday to receive a free cupcake. Please bring proof of ID.*


Cameron at the Cabana — April 29 from 1:30–4 p.m. — Stop by the cabana to get a few snow cone from CA Cameron!


Popsicle Pool Party — April 30 from noon–1 p.m. — We’ll pass out popsicles to residents enjoying the pool!

Secret Suzie Advice Column — We’ve selected a few residents to give advice to fellow residents, from personal to academic. These residents will be referred to as “Secret Suzie” and will remain anonymous. Submit your questions to our Resident Director, Katie Hebert, at She’ll distribute the advice questions to our Secret Suzie. All submissions will be anonymous.


Resident Minute — Submit articles to be published in our newsletter! It can be on any appropriate topic you chose. If approved, it will be published. You can choose to have your name attached or keep it anonymous. For mass communication, English, or related major students, this may be an excellent addition to your portfolio.
